Participants will meet at River’s Wish Animal Sanctuary at 2pm. Agenda and details are below: Wear comfortable clothing, sunscreen, and bring a water bottle—no food please. This workshop will take place entirely outside, but there is a shelter in case of poor weather. Masks required--limited attendance and physical spacing will be established. We will begin with a tour of the premises, meet a few animal friends, and then will spend the remainder of our time together writing. Ellen will provide prompts, and each participant will leave with at least three new drafts or beginnings of animal poems. No experience necessary. Paper and pencils provided; feel free to bring your own notebook and writing utensil if you prefer. Parents/caretakers, you are welcome to stay with your child/ren, but for safety reasons this workshop will cap at twelve attendees. This is a fundraiser for River’s Wish Animal Sanctuary.
