Description
North Omaha is getting a new trail! It needs the input of our community if we're going to get it right. Join us to learn more! The Beltline Trail is a proposed bicycle and pedestrian trail moving along the relinquished rail corridor. The trail will begin on the intersection of Military and Hamilton and continue northeast until it reaches the North Omaha Transit Center. At this community meeting the project, initiated by the Natural Resource District, will be explained and preliminary thoughts, feelings, and opinions will be contributed by you, the community. Stop by at any time between 4 and 7. We want to hear from you! If you're unable to attend, contact the organizer and a digital survey will be made available for you to contribute to! There will be members of the design team available to answer questions and collect your feedback. We want to hear what you think: about art on the trail.will make safe routes to schools.the trail should look like.about what history should be reflected on the trail.much, much, more!We look forward to seeing you there. There will be a formal introduction to the project at 4:30, but feel free to stop by at anytime between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Bring your children! We want to know what they have to say too. Coloring pages will be provided to keep them engaged and thinking creatively! COVID-19 Considerations: If you are feeling unwell or suspect you have COVID-19, please isolate at home. Presenters and guests will be required to wear masks at all times while indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Our top priority is the safety of our guests. We ask you to wear your mask while indoors, but the venue has a wonderful amphitheater where you are more than welcome to wander without a mask, distancing responsibly. There will also be a digital feedback option which will be released shortly after the meeting for all those who were unable to join in person.
