Join Our Team! Waste Recovery Systems is seeking to add a full-time Mechanic Shop Assistant to our team. Experience with basic tools and being mechanically inclined is required, as is a chauffeur license with clean driving record. Position Overview: This position will ensure cleanliness and readiness of trucks and equipment and facilities for operation. Position will power wash trucks, clean and organize mechanic bays, provide basic janitorial duties, including cleaning and minor repairs of facilities and equipment. This position will run parts to job sites or operators. The right candidate for this position is accountable, efficient, able to perform both under direction and independently. Essential Job Functions: Clean, maintain, prepare and repair equipment (such as industrial hoses, valves, fittings, etc.) Run parts and equipment Maintain organization Identify and troubleshoot and repair facility issues Clean bathrooms, locker rooms, common areas and mechanic bays Janitorial duties Seasonal facility duties such as mowing, shoveling, salting, etc. Power wash equipment and fleet Heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs) Able to walk, sit, stand, stoop and bend repeatedly Follow safety protocol Regular, physical and reliable attendance Maintain a positive attitude Execute direction as well as work independently Hard working, proactive, high attention to detail Job Requirements: Chauffeur License with clean driving record Mechanical proficiency Job Type: Full-time, benefit eligible.
