Swampscott School Coronavirus Vaccine Clinic Set For Next Week

SWAMPSCOTT, MA —Swampscott Public Schools will host a coronavirus vaccination clinic for students ages 12 and older next week. The district is partnering with PelMeds Pharmacy to administer the Pfizer vaccine — which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention gave emergency use authorization for 12- to 15-year-olds on Wednesday — on May 21 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Swampscott High School. An additional clinic will be set up for June 11 so anyone who receives the first dose on May 21 can get their second dose. This clinic is available to all Swampscott Public Schools students, families and staff. The clinic is also open for a second shot for those who received their first Pfizer shot elsewhere at least three weeks prior to May 21. Vaccinations are free regardless of insurance coverage. High school students at the school may attend the clinic during the school day, but must have their consent form with them. Parents, guardians and students can register for the clinic here.
