Slidell Magnificat Breakfast - Speaker: Patrycja Black. Saturday June 12, 2021. Pinewood Plantation from 9am to 12pm. Doors open at 8:30.
The Magnificat Breakfast of fellowship offers women a chance to share and enjoy one another in an atmosphere of God's presence and love. This meal will provide a buffet breakfast served by Trinity Banquet hall, communal praise and worship open to the Charismatic gifts, and personal testimony of guest speaker, Nicole Johnson, whose life has been dramatically impacted by God's grace.
At a time of uncertainty and topsy-turvy morals, Patrycja Black is proclaiming a message of HOPE. This inspirational wife and mother of three believes that God uses trials like these to bring us closer to Him.
She speaks from experience. Fleeing the persecution of Communist-controlled Poland at eight years of age, she immigrated to America with her mom. Once in the U.S., they joined her dad who had sought asylum in New Orleans 3 ½ years earlier.
Now a naturalized citizen, Patrycja loves calling America home. Having experienced Communism firsthand, however, she sees history repeating itself. “I find it very frightening to watch everything that’s going on in the United States,” she says. “But we need not get discouraged. Instead, we need to get closer to God.”
Patrycja tries to stay close to God by surrendering her life to Him. Although she admits it is an ongoing process, she knows it reaps great rewards. She surrendered to God her wish to be married and He led her to the perfect husband. As a couple, they surrendered their talents to God and He led them to serve the Church through married couple’s retreats. “God has taught me that surrender and gratitude always bring peace.”
