OPENAIR Circus Summer Registration For 36 years, the OPENAIR Circus has offered summer classes in circus skills for children, teens and adults. Everyone is welcome to learn new skills and join the circus community. This year some classes will be in-person and others online (both synchronous and pre-recorded). All classes will run July 5 through August 6. In-person classes will be at Perry Park on Washington Street near Union Square in Somerville. In-person classes include beginning and intermediate hula hoops, poi, baton twirling and devil sticks. Other classes include Tumbling for Two (parent and a 3-7 year old) and musical theater dance. Remote classes include beginning and intermediate diabolo and juggling, as well as sphereplay and yo-yo. Video lessons and equipment loans are available for stilting and unicycling. Due to COVID-19 related restrictions, in-person classes will be limited to  10 students so students should pre-register in May. Pre-registration for ranked-choice identification is open now at our website (www.openaircircus.org). We'll send out confirmation of which classes each student has been registered to on June 6th. Remote classes will not be capped. Equipment loans can be requested during registration, and equipment will be distributed.For more information and registration, go to www.openaircircus.org.
