Description
On April 29, The Sagemont School in Weston held its second annual Diversity Fair, which offered the opportunity for Lower School students to participate in interactive presentations by speakers from different cultural backgrounds, including an opera singer, children's book author and flamenco dancer. Upper School students could select their own schedule of in-person and virtual workshops that covered a variety of topics — from food, art and languages, to social justice, disability awareness and inclusivity.
The daylong event honored the myriad of students' cultural experiences and engaged them in conversations related to becoming responsible global citizens. The Sagemont School is a diverse community of engaged learners with over 26 nationalities represented. Through this event, students learned the importance of studying different countries and their cultures.
