HARRISON, NY — An April 1, burglary was an understandably traumatic event for the nanny who was home at the time, but on Thursday, police arrested a suspect in the Bronx.
After a more than month-long investigation, Harrison police have charged Emiljian Drekaj with breaking into a home that was occupied by the homeowner's nanny at the time.
The 27-year-old was apprehended on May 7, near his Bronx home. Drekaj was booked into the Westchester County Jail and is now facing felony burglary charges.

After he was confronted by the occupant of the home, police say the suspect fled out the front door and drove away in a vehicle parked outside.
Investigators from the Harrison Police Department were eventually able to identify the car involved.
With the help of the Westchester County District Attorney's Office, investigators and the New York State Police were able to locate the suspect. A search of Drekaj's home and vehicle yielded evidence related to the burglary, according to authorities.
