21 Year sign shop in Buford GA is searching for a reliable Sign Shop Production Technician to join our team. You will primarily be responsible for the production of signs and digitally printed graphics in-house, that are non-architectural in nature. You should be able to hit the ground running on day one with very little training. Basic sign production skills are required and at least 2 years’ experience working in a sign shop recently. You should know how to operate Roland type printers and laminators. You should know how to plot and cut vinyl, & how to weed and mask vinyl. You should be well versed in all substrates used in the sign industry. You should be very experienced operating, trouble shooting and maintaining wide format printers. You should be adept at applying vinyl graphics to various substrates, including dibond, vehicles, glass and other RTA applications. CNC router and Matthews Paint Booth experience highly desirable. Skill & Attitude REQUIREMENTS: You should have high integrity, be fun to be around, and able to get along with others on the team. You should come to work with a great attitude every day willing to work hard till 5:30, always trying to learn more and working daily to get better in your role. You should be focused on ways to save the company money. You should be willing and able to work on your feet throughout the day, able to lift materials weighing 35+ lbs., willing and able to work from a ladder, comfortable with hand-tools and basic shop equipment, organized and detailed-oriented, mechanically inclined, able to get things done both independently and within a team. Basic graphic design experience a plus (but not required). Must be able to commute to Buford GA with reliable transportation daily, 8:30-5:30 M-F, no weekends. We are looking for someone that wants to grow with us, eventually take on more responsibility, and after many years retire from our shop. We are not looking for someone that is looking for a temporary position. Serious candidates only, position will pay commensurate with your earnings history, if you are highly qualified and currently employed at a sign company in the US we will offer you a raise to join our team. $500 signing bonus in cash available to the right candidate after 90 days of successful employment if you meet all of the above criteria and can join our team within two weeks.
