WESTFIELD, NJ — The town of Westfield said Wednesday that the utility company has plans to pave several roads in the next few weeks — starting as soon as Thursday — and the township also has plans to pave and mill several roads. A total of 17 roads may be worked on during the next few weeks. Notices will be distributed before the work begins. Here is the message, with three lists of roads: Utility Company Paving Work Elizabethtown Gas' paving contractor, Atlantic Infrastructure, expects to begin the road resurfacing process, including milling and paving, of these roads as early as Thursday (May 13). Birch Avenue (entire length) and Highland Avenue (Hillside to Sinclair) Notices have been distributed to affected homes. Additional roads will follow in the coming weeks. Notices will be distributed in these areas by Atlantic Infrastructure prior to the work commencing. They are: Standish Avenue (Mountainview Terrace to Colonial)Cedar Terrace (entire length)Hillside Avenue (entire length)Mountainview Circle (entire length)Bradford Avenue (Cedar to Colonial)Colonial Avenue (entire length)Sinclair Place (Lawrence to Highland)Orenda Circle (entire length)Roanoke Road (entire length)Quantuck Lane (entire length with drainage)Hiawatha Drive (entire length with drainage)Lawrence Avenue (Roanoke to Town Line)Woods End Road (entire length) Municipal Paving Work In addition, the town will pave additional roads in this area through a separate contractor/public bidding process to complete the grid, with specific timing to follow: Standish Avenue (Colonial to Alden)Bradford Avenue (Colonial to Mountain)Alden Avenue (entire length)Highland Avenue (Sinclair to Dudley)Dudley Court (entire length) All work is weather permitting.
