LANDOVER, MD — Prince George's County will host a 24-hour immunization event on Friday and Saturday. Officials call it the vaccine-a-thon. Attendees will have the chance to win: Movie ticketsMcDonald's gift cardsMasks LunchboxesT-shirtsFresh grocery boxes Snacks will be available from: Rita's Italian IceThe Furlough CheesecakeHenry's Soul CafeNando's PERi-PERi ChickenLedo Pizza Local celebrities will join in to encourage inoculation. Notable guests include: Joe Clair: A radio personality from WPGC 95.5 FMGregory "Sugar Bear" Elliot: The lead singer and bassist from funk band Experience Unlimited The clinic starts Friday at 9 a.m. It will take place at the Wayne Curry Sports & Learning Complex, located at 8001 Sheriff Road in Landover. Walk-ins are welcomed, but appointments are also available at this link. Anybody 16 and older can come. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Prince George's County Commission for Fathers, Men and Boys will cohost the initiative.
