Summer Camp Leader at Christ Episcopal School 2021 109 S. Washington Street Rockville, MD 20906 (metro stop: Glenmont red line - Rockville) We are seeking a preschool summer camp leader to direct and create themed activities, and manage communications with families. We are a small, supportive school community nestled in the heart of Rockville. Applicants should have completed their junior year of an early childhood or elementary education program. Our summer camp is an 8-week program starting June 21 and ending August 13th. Applicants should be ready to start June 17 and work until August 16. The camp runs from 9am to 4:30am, and Camp Leader is expected to arrive at least 30 minutes early. See a description of the camp below: Have you and your child been cooped up too long? With summer approaching, the sun is shining and the fresh air is calling! Christ Episcopal School is offering its much loved Little Cardinals preschool summer camp for children aged 3 - 5 years old. This year promises lots of outdoor physical activity and safe social interaction with other children. Our theme will be Imagination Set Loose! and will incorporate fun physical challenges, engaging games, and creative adventures that will build both social and physical skills, and most importantly provide joyful excitement to your little ones. We are nestled in downtown Rockville in an adorable preschool house with an enclosed playground, in addition to other outdoor spaces. Limited spaces available. Responsibilities include: Creating and implementing themed activities weekly. (Themes per week have already been created)Communicate regularly with parents, giving updates and addressing concerns in a timely manner.Taking photos daily of activities.Managing assistantsManaging registration paperwork and schedules of campers.Ensuring the safety of children and adhering to Covid Protocols.Manage supplies and coordinate with Director of Development for additional ordering.Meet with Head of School on a weekly basis.Work with Director of Development to ensure all licensing requirements have been met. Work with Director of Development to distribute information for teachers/assistants prior to the start of each new camp week. Assist with daily drop-off and pick-up of campers. Be on-call for any urgent matters. Work with Director of Development to coordinate a staff orientation session prior to the start of camp. In coordination with Director of Development, create a camper welcome guide that contains information for the camper, including room assignment, teachers’ names, field trip permission forms, and all other important information.
