ANNAPOLIS, MD — An officer from the Annapolis Police Department faces charges of stealing more than $3,600 worth of merchandise from an Arbutus Walmart, the Capital Gazette reported. Journalist Lilly Price identified the accused officer as Gerrard Lamont Williams Jr. He has worked as a security guard at the store since 2014, the news outlet explained. The Baltimore County Police Department arrested Williams on May 5, the Capital noted. Price added that Williams is up against one count of felony theft scheme on accusations that in February and March he stole: 55-inch TVsDiapersA children's movieDog foodSodaPrintersA Roomba vacuumClothesMedicine Two AC units To learn about the surveillance video that helped crack the case, check out the Capital's full story.
