automotive electrical work needed

Description

I have a 2006 Sprinter which has thrown a P0683 error code (glow PCM communication error). The PCM has just been replaced with an OEM part. Installation is simple plug and play and I cannot imagine that the part is faulty. These are supposedly very robust. Right after installing the part, I tested to see if the glow plugs get 12 V. They did not. Also, there is not 12V coming out of the pin connectors at the unit. Even if the temperature sensor were faulty, there should be 12V at the pins for 2 seconds after turning on the ignition, but there is not. I have a block heater and can get the van running but it is uncomfortable to me to drive it without that unit working properly. I need someone who can test the grounds, owns a DRBIII scanner or a comparable unit and can pin out the electrical connectors to make sure the glow plug control module communicates with the engine control module again.
