Iowa City Transit Summer Schedule Will Begin On May 17

Press release from the City of Iowa City: May 12, 2021 Starting Monday, May 17, 2021 Iowa City Transit will begin operating a summer schedule. Schedule changes are listed below: Towncrest and Oakcrest routes will operate hourly service from 9AM until 3PM (Off-Peak), Monday through Friday for the summer. Service during peak hours (6AM-9AM & 3PM -6:30PM) will remain every 30 minutes. The Downtown Free Shuttle route will cease operating effective Friday, May 14, 2021. The last departure will be at 6:15PM. Regular service on the Towncrest & Oakcrest routes as well as Downtown Free Shuttle service will resume on Monday, August 2, 2021 for the fall.
