Brings more than 30 years of experience in managing complex infrastructure projects Alan Merrett joined HNTB Corporation as associate vice president and project director in the firm’s Los Angeles office. He will serve as deputy construction manager for the I-10 Express Lanes project for San Bernardino County Transportation Authority. “We welcome Alan with his experience in construction management and express lanes to our growing HNTB transportation team in Southern California,” said Wayne Feuerborn, HNTB West Division president. “In addition to his proven project leadership, his strengths include the ability to develop strategies that reflect clients’ operational and project aspirations and complete large-scale projects successfully.” Merrett has over 30 years of experience in the transportation industry serving as a project construction manager on large rail, aviation and highway infrastructure projects. Prior to joining HNTB, he served as an associate principal and worked on highway and bridge projects in the Los Angeles area, Canada and the United Kingdom. His Southern California client experience includes serving as design manager for Orange County Transportation Authority’s I-405 Express Lanes Project, as well as his current role on the I-10 Express Lanes project. Merrett holds CIOB qualifications in construction and site management from London South Bank University, UK.
