Lollapalooza Gets Green Light To Return To Chicago: Report

CHICAGO — Lollapalooza is set to return to Grant Park, according to a published report. Citing "insider sources," Variety reported Lollapalooza organizers got the green light from City Hall to bring the music festival back to Grant Park July 29 to August 1. Mayor Lori Lightfoot's administration on Thursday, however, said city officials are in talks with "several large event organizers, including Lollapalooza" about bring back major festivals to Chicago safely, but would not confirm the report. "We are taking these events case by case and determining how we can ensure the safety of our patrons. While conversations have been moving forward in a positive way, nothing has been confirmed," a city spokesperson said in a statement.
