TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Amphitheater is gearing up for its triumphant return from the coronavirus pandemic and revealed that legendary rockers ZZ Top and country music star Brad Paisley will both headline separate shows in July. The 2021 concert season at The Amp will officially kick off June 17 with country singer/songwriter Jon Pardi, as Patch previously reported. The first concert of the year will observe social distancing guidelines and tickets will be sold in various sized pods, which must be purchased together. The event will also be reduced capacity and seating will be reserved. Paisley, a three-time Grammy winner who has sold more than 11 million albums, is set to play Tuscaloosa on July 23 at 7 p.m., with ticket information available soon. Click here to check for updates. Formed in 1969 in Houston, Texas, ZZ Top has released 15 studio albums, selling approximately 50 million records worldwide. For guitar fans, lead singer and guitarist Billy Gibbons is ranked No. 32 on Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time." The bearded rockers are set to play the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater on July 30 and tickets have already gone on sale, ranging from pit seats priced at $208, while other seats will cost between $53-$83.
