I'm looking for an creative outlet.
I play bass and keyboards in cover bands, but I never get a chance to create music with people.
It would be fun just to do some chill music without drums (or with a very patient minimalist drummer). There is no limitation as far as what instruments are appropriate. You can do world music, new age synths, trippy stuff. Maybe record something, and if we get something good going maybe play cafe's and outdoor venues.
I've done a little of this before and it inspired one of my instrumental songs.
I have some cool gear, an iPad with Moog synthesizer apps installed.
I can also play bass if you play keyboards, or maybe do some shoegaze type stuff.
You might think drone music is boring but it frees you from the constraints of chord changes and gives you time, and a chance to experiment with different sounds and melodies. Let's get all of our toys, effects, and weird instruments, that bands never let us use and make some trippy scenic landscapes, and play quiet enough where we can talk to each other.
We can just have a show and tell and try out different effects, and maybe I can help you with the effects chain, or synthesizer settings, computer recording, MIDI, acoustics etc.
Also you don't have to have great chops, but a good ear, creativity and some musical knowledge is a plus, but when I used to jam with a beginner he would just enjoy watching me and would try this or that, and I would interact with him. It's very relaxing, and no stress.
