Chip off the old Block is looking for an Irrigation Specialist to join our team. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: includes the following and other duties may be assigned as needed. • Troubleshoot, repair, and supervise the maintenance of irrigation components • Repair main lines, valves, sprinkler heads, etc. • Install new irrigation systems from start to finish • Practices effective water management techniques such as ET-based scheduling as well as the use of a soil probe to determine the appropriate irrigation schedule for each job. • Prepare quotes for repairs, replacements and/or new installation • Adjust and program various timers/solar clocks • Recognize drainage deficiencies and problematic soils • Use required personal protective equipment necessary to perform the job • Drive company vehicles in a safe manner at all timer and make sure that all equipment is stored and secured for transport in a manner to avoid damage • Property mark and rope off any open holes or hazards to protect residents from getting hurt • Consistently provide workmanship that meets or exceeds quality expectations • Before leaving any job site, assure that it is properly cleaned and that all equipment is removed from the site • Other tasks as assigned This is a full time position The pay ranges based on knowledge and experience in the irrigation field.
