Hi. This is Midnight Daughter speaking. A Seattle (now Sedona) -based alternative group. My previous violinist left the band after we had persistent differences around COVID precautions. So now I'm seeking a kickass violinist that can shred on par with or better than my former bandmate —and who is fine with practicing in the same room as me. Note that I'm currently in Sedona. We've been described as “really intense,” “emotional, pure, and raw,” “the most beautiful thing I have heard,” defiant, powerful, incredible, and WOW. The music ranges from full-on rock to deeply intimate ballads. Street Cred: The previous violinist and I got together 6 months before the shutdown. Despite that, we were selected for Tiny Desk Top Shelf (NPR), featured on the front page of KEXP, interviewed for KEXP’s Music Heals, and played live on KISW (a large Seattle station), all within a year of the band getting together. I'm looking for someone who wants to pick up where we left off and hit the ground running. * My songwriting is characterized by key changes, rhythm changes, and non-standard song structures (check out the youtube link to get an idea). I need a high level of talent and ingenuity in my players. On a personal level, I'm looking for someone who is real and direct in their communication, who is on their spiritual path, and who wants to take over the world.
