Description

Our Americana / Folk band, whiskeyhouse, is looking for a bass player. We’re excited to re-emerge after Covid, (all fully vaccinated) are eager to play some live gigs, and looking for someone to join us on this journey. Here is a sample of a few of our songs: https://whiskeyhouse.bandcamp.com/album/whiskeyhouse-one-album We’re looking for a strong player who enjoys the Americana, folk, blues, jam band scene. This person is a clear communicator, has time and flexibility to practice and play, and is willing to do it for the fun (not the money, but you never know). They ideally live in the East Bay (we're in Alameda, Berkeley, and San Leandro). The ability to sing some backup harmonies is a plus. We’re composed of longtime friends and music collaborators with a mission of creating fun and community. We typically practice every two weeks on a weekday evening and at least one weekend day each month in a studio. Also, in addition to playing several shows a year in the Bay Area, a few fun road trip gigs should be expected (Big Sur, Carmel, Gold Country, etc.). We play songs by artists such as Ryan Adams, Wilco, Jack White, Kacey Musgraves, and Merle Haggard, as well as many distinctive, folksy originals. We love to play BBQs, house parties (especially outside next to rivers, lakes, and barns), small festivals, as well as taverns and other drinking establishments.
