Fabric Cutter – Will Train Fifty-year-old established business in Arvada, CO is looking for help in our drapery workroom. Fabric cutting experience a plus but will train the right team-oriented person. Knowing how to read a tape measure is a HUGE plus. We have a very large warehouse, take precautions and clean daily so COVID threat is minimized to the greatest extent possible. About the Job: Hours are Monday – Thursday from 6 AM until 4:30 PM (four 10-hour shifts with Friday off) or Monday – Friday from 6 AM until 2:30 PM (five 8-hour shifts). During training, you will be required to work the hours of your trainer (for approximately 2 weeks). You will be working in a drapery work room, cutting fabric and lining to proper size for the sewing team. You will stand on your feet most of the day although not always in one place. You may be required to learn sewing techniques to assist the team and we will train. This is a great position for any person who wants to learn a trade that is, and always will be, in high demand. Pay depends upon your experience level and quality work is handsomely rewarded following a 60-day probationary period. Requirements: • The workroom team comes from various ethnic backgrounds and English is not the first language of many. Must be able to communicate and get along with a very diverse team from all walks of life. • Must have a desire to see the team succeed and thrive. • Must know how to read a tape-measure or be a quick learner. • Must be teachable. Being easily offended and unable to be corrected is not going to work here. We make high-end, extremely pricey custom coverings and everyone is subject to quality assurance and correction and instruction. • Must have an eye for detail and set high standards for your own work contribution.
