Classic Modern Country?

Corinth VT

Description

Just putting the feelers out there... I'm a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, mandolin, upright bass) looking for something new (with an old soul). Ideally playing acoustic guitar with some leads/singing and looking to start a duo or trio (think - acoustic guitar and pedal steel, or acoustic guitar, upright and electric guitar/mandolin/fiddle). Looking to make folks stomp their feet, two step and slow dance to a country waltz with their sweetheart. Classic country sounds ala contemporary songwriters like Arlo McKinley, Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson. Music with heart and soul lined with a bit of grit and gravel. Likely a few covers, but really looking to revamp some older originals and write some new songs for/with a group. Ex. of what I'm looking for (not me): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fylVf7k_5so I am currently in 2 other projects fairly low key projects (few gigs, with friends mostly for fun, mostly covers). One is a duo (I play guitar) that leans fairly heavily towards bluegrass and the other is a string quintet (I play upright) playing everything from Grisman/Garcia to Django to Dylan. Basically, I am looking to branch out a bit to a style of music I adore that doesn't jive as well with the other two bands. I have about 4 albums under my belt, recording and video capabilities and a desire to build a good content base and behind a project with the right folks. I write songs, you write songs, we write songs together. Harmonies are always key. I can send tune examples if you want. Low key, but fun and ensuring that we sound good. Maybe a few gigs or recording projects down the road.
