Description

Assist with a trash pick-up at the Disney Wilderness Preserve. The Nature Conservancy staff are seeking assistance with debris/trash removal from a remote location at the Disney Wilderness Preserve. Volunteers will be transferred to the location on the preserve in an open air vehicle(s) which will have steep steps to board and disembark. Debris removal will help make the area safer for staff to drive through the area with vehicles, and to perform future prescribed fires needed to keep the ecosystem healthy. Volunteers will assist to move both heavy and light items while following COVID-19 safety protocols, including mask wearing and distancing. Volunteers must register to participate, wear closed toed shoes and a mask covering their nose and mouth, bring their own water, snacks, work gloves, sunglasses and, bug and sun protection. The group will meet at the welcome center at 9:00am. All other equipment will be provided by The Nature Conservancy.
