An outdoor music festival to kickoff summer! Free family entertainment in the morning followed by 3 great shows with food & drinks all day. The Three Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to kickoff summer and a bit of a return to normalcy with the North By Northwoods Music Festival! Enjoy a beautiful day of music, food, drinks and fun right by the lake in Cy Williams Park. The day begins with a free family entertainer, David Dall, performing from 11am til 1pm. Grab a burger and enjoy the family fun. No tickets required for this portion of the event! Wristbands required starting at 2pm, when our first concert begins. David Dall began his career as a professional performer, nearly 50 years ago. He was a favorite kindergarten teacher in his hometown of Rhinelander, WI for over 25 years as well an instructor at Nicolet Area Technical College, teaching courses in early childhood education. His many performances include entertainment for all ages such as, festivals, fairs, establishment occasions, parties, library shows and other various celebrations. This combination of talent and experience has made him one of the most well-known entertainers in the Northwoods. Scott Kirby has been cultivating his own brand of Americana "blue country-folk grass" for over a decade. This particular blend of styles, allows Kirby to connect with an array of audiences. Kirby's musical inspirations are like patches he prominently displays- from the straightforward sensibilities of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson & B.B. King- to the musical explorations of the Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers, and Bob Dylan. Kirby's got a soulful voice that delivers each story with sparkling authenticity and is truly at home whenever he's playing his music. The UnXpected is one of the best explosive cover bands in Milwaukee. They play classic hits from all time. Artists like John Melloncamp, AC/DC, Van Morrison, The Charlie Daniels Band, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Cheap Trick, The Zac Brown Band, Neil Diamond and much, much more. This Milwaukee band has been performing throughout Wisconsin and beyond for over 30 years. The UnXpected played premier venues like Milwaukee's Summerfest, Wisconsin State Fair, Waukesha County Fair, Washington County Fair, just to name a few. They have opened for Groups like REO Speedwagon, Jefferson Starship, Fran Cosmo(former lead singer of the band Boston), CCR and Tommy James. Their style is one of high energy, crowd interaction and excitement. The UnXpected, performing all the classic/party songs we all know and love. Madeline Consoer hails from Eagle River and is now based in Nashville. Though she’s been singing her whole life, she began to take music more seriously after winning a competition as a teenager. Though she entered college with the intention of studying exercise science, a spring break trip to Nashville her freshman year changed the trajectory of her life; an impromptu performance on stage earned her a gig and she chose to leave school to pursue her vocal talents in Nashville. Madeline competed on Team Kelly on Season 19 of the Voice last fall, honing her country-pop talent and is now pursuing songwriting & performing in Nashville.
