Description

Craigslist ad Spoiler alert my rig isn't even that sweet. I'm a 37-year-old life time player of music. After putting serious efforts on the backburner for nearly two decades, I've spent the last few years getting to a level where I'd feel comfortable spearheading a band project. I'm looking for a bass player and a drummer. I'm a very laid back, and good-energy type of person, I'm married with no kids. I'd like to be very clear that I have a seedling of a song base to get the ball rolling, but I don't want to color what type of sound I'm looking for by being too specific in this ad. This could go many different directions. I'm a true child of the nineties (1st grade in ’91, 9th grade in ’99), so I love to rock, but I also love truly beautiful and creative music that explores new sounds and textures. I'm looking for truly musical and creative artists, willing to be real, have fun, show lots of compassion and intellect, and have a blast doing it. I’m not the best in music theory, but I do come from the classical music world, so I do understand it, I’m working twice as hard to get to where I feel I should be for my age. I've recorded and produced (I have a proficient level of mixing and mastering in pro-tools). I’m a stickler for specific sonic real estate in my mixes and would only be a part of a band that is willing to understand what sounds good and how to achieve it (many times its not what you’d think). I independently released a solo EP with sort of an 80's new wave feel a few months back. Contact if interested in gig for links to that music. Once we develop a sound and feel good about it, I’m willing to take on much of the band promo myself as I’ve dipped my toe in that world with my solo work. I’m not looking to make it huge but I’d like to be good enough to play some shows and have a little following. If any of this makes sense or sounds cool to you, hit me up. I’m wantin’ to get started. Band logistics include: -Light sipping to no drinking preferred, but very 420 friendly. -Always wanting to progress toward a goal of playing gigs and building a following. -I like to have fun but have the most fun when we're kicking ass and meeting our goals. -Be willing to pay for 1/3 rehearsal space. -Must own appropriate gear, be willing to chip in/save up for occasional gear purchases for band. -No band experience necessary. -Be willing to commit to at least twice weekly band practices.
