Come join MWV Semi-Football Team, call to action on ending gun violence in Topeka, KS by walking with us during halftime at 645pm. Community gun violence inflicts an enormous burden upon our country, particularly within under-resourced Black and Hispanic/Latino communities. In many under-resourced city neighborhoods, community gun violence is routine. The health and wellbeing of nearly everyone living within these neighborhoods are adversely impacted. As a result, community gun violence further perpetuates the cycles of concentrated poverty, structural disadvantage,and health inequity that already exist within these communities. Policies and programs that address community gun violence are essential to tackle the public health epidemic of gun violence in the United States and promote health equity
