Basic, foundational yoga postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement.
Douchka Lecot
Originally from Ibiza, Spain, and a Tantric hippie in essence, Douchka is an E-RYT 200 yoga teacher and an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist with over a 17-year experience in yoga science. Curious and passionate about life, she’s an eternal student always seeking for tools among therapies, systems, philosophies and techniques, to infuse in her life and teachings, that can enhance life experience, help connect deeper to the Self, and spread healing through individuals and communities. Committed to sharing her experiential tools with others, she co-founded Yana Shala, a community-based platform providing education and resources for self-development and personal growth. Using those tools and based on cultivating self-care, among other offerings, Douchka and her yoga partner Barb Totzke lead and teach 'Manifest your Inner Teacher', an 9-module self-development and teacher training program, registered as RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance. She currently lives in Dallas, Texas.
