This year’s program features addresses (including one salutatory in Latin) by three students from the college and graduate schools, special remarks from President Lawrence S. Bacow, a celebration of honorary degree candidates, and a very special address by Ruth Simmons, PhD ’73, president of Prairie View A&M University. HGSE School-Wide Ceremony 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. ET HGSE's virtual ceremony for all programs will include a speech by the 2021 HGSE Student Speech Competition winner, the recognition of the 2021 HGSE Student Marshalls, the Phillys Strimling Award, and the HGSE Intellectual Contribution Award recipients. The ceremony will conclude with a speech by HGSE Dean Bridget Terry Long.
