Knitters Tour: IL Holocaust Museum Shanghai Exhibition, Panel Discussion, and more!
Join me for a once-in-a-lifetime visit to the Illinois Holocaust Museum.
You will tour the Shanghai Exhibition, see Judy Kolb's Little Red Dress, and attend a panel discussion with Judy and Faye Levinson, the museum volunteer who lead the effort to knit the 60 dresses used by the Teaching Trunks program. We will then meet up as a group to help the education department by replacing buttons and restoring some of the knitted dresses used in schools. All materials will be provided. There will be opportunities for group photos.
Tours will be given with safety in mind. You will need to arrive early to clear security. Groups will be split up into smaller groups and the panel will be held with distancing measures in place. Your final tour time will be confirmed in advance.
Please indicate the need for a wheelchair or walker. Both are available.
