Expanding on Intro to Laser Cutting and etching; students will learn advanced techniques in this class. This class is recommended for those ready to take laser cutting and engraving to the next level. Students taking this class should already be familiar with basic laser operation. The primary topics of this class are: Use of different lensesAdvanced Software settings - Kerf for Puzzles, Fabrication, and Detail work - Ramp and Grayscale for Stamps and 3D Reliefs - Dithering, Inversion, Cross Hatching and more... Advanced Cutting - Large format and passthrough cuts - Perforation and Tabs Advanced Etching - Chemical assisted Etching for Metal and Glass - Hi-Res Photo Etching Exotic Materials - Leather and Cloth - Tile and Stone - Foam and Silicone Using Rotary attachments and CamerasInstructor, Kyle Hoover is our resident laser expert. He maintains our machines and guides members in their laser-cutting journey. Minors are welcome to attend, though they must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. No additional ticket needed. Not recommended for children under 14 years of age. Guests are asked to be on time for events. If the safety briefing is missed, the guest will not be able to join the class and no refunds will be given. Masks must cover the nose and mouth, as mandated in NC. Hand sanitizer and bathrooms are available for hand washing during the event.
