Description

Build IR Thermometers for Local Community Groups in Ace's well-appointed electronics lab with skilled mentors. No experience needed. Our goal is to build 10 Thermometers for local groups that they can use to operate more safely while they do things like offer childcare, feed people, serve unhoused people and the elderly. We have all the components and enclosures ready to go. We are using this Open-Source design. We just need volunteers willing to put this open source design together with us. This is a great way to learn some electronics skills while helping out people in your community. Space is limited to keep everything COVID safe. We will be gathering upstairs in Clean Fabrication (suite 214). Hosts will buzz you in when you arrive. Getting Ready! Make sure to sign your paperwork. Please come in work clothes as butcher block oil can stain and you should be wearing closed-toed shop safe shoes. Basic COVID Safety applies and everyone is required to were a proper mask at all times. Learn more about Ace COVID safety procedures on the Ace Makerspace webpage.
