Cathedral High School Creates New Partnerships to Enhance Student Development and Success Cathedral High School (CHS), an all-girls Catholic College Preparatory school in the heart of Manhattan, launched a Partnership initiative this Spring with multiple school-focused organizations to help students solidify their stronghold in academics and to complement its Medical Gateways, STEM and Business & Law Academies. Maria Spagnuolo, Principal, Cathedral High School stated: “At Cathedral High School, we are always looking for ways to expand our school’s culture beyond the classroom to help graduates gain real life experiences and knowledge to succeed in their careers. These partnerships are key to reinforce concepts they hear in our learning Academies, while providing access to mentors and other key resources to help advance classroom learning.” Starting this Spring, students have access to resources to support curriculum and improve learning in the classroom through the following academic partnerships: Girls Rule the Law (https://girlsrulethelaw.org/about-us)  Girls Rule the Law focuses on growing a diverse talent pipeline of women in the legal, legislative, and judicial fields. The organization hosted four classes with the Business & Law Academy students that included an engaging lesson on anti-discrimination laws.Black Girls Smile (https://www.blackgirlssmile.org/)  Black Girls Smile Inc. (BGS) has been recognized as one of the leading organizations focusing on black female mental wellness. Cathedral hosted a Mental Health 101 seminar with students from the Medical Gateway Academy with Founder & Executive Director Lauren Carson.500 Women Scientists (https://500womenscientists.org/)  The grassroots advocacy organization’s mission is to make science open, inclusive, and accessible and transform society by fighting racism, patriarchy, and oppressive societal norms.  Cathedral’s STEM Academy is planning a Career Day Virtual Event for 11th and 12 grade students. Speakers from various STEM fields will speak to students about the myriad of fields and career trajectories spanning from academia to industry. Blacks in Technology (https://www.blacksintechnology.net/)  A global platform for Black people in technology, the organization is "Stomping the Divide" by establishing standards for world class technical excellence. The Business & Law Academy hosted a virtual event recently that discussed “College & Career Opportunities in Technology, Engineering and Design."Cathedral High School is located at 350 East 56th Street in Manhattan.
