ROCKVILLE, MD — Authorities are still searching for a raccoon they say attacked a child and a dog in two separate incidents Monday in Rockville.
The child was bitten in Kinship Park — located at 254 N. Washington St. — around 11 a.m., according to Rockville City police. The dog was bitten near College Gardens Park earlier that morning.
According to multiple news outlets, the child has received treatment, and the dog is quarantined for observation.
Authorities are asking people to call 911 if they see a raccoon acting strangely or aggressively. They also urge anyone who gets bitten to seek medical attention as soon as possible.
