Darien Library To Resume Normal Hours This Month

DARIEN, CT — The Darien Library will resume normal hours, including weekday evening hours, beginning Monday. According to an announcement on their website, the library will no longer close at 5 p.m. each day. Instead, the library will be open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. On weekends, the library will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The Children's Library closes at 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday. The library previously adjusted its hours and operations in response to the ongoing coronavirus crisis. In addition to new hours, the library will no longer have time limits for using the library and appointments will no longer be needed to visit the Children's Library. Guests will also be allowed 60-minute computer access, and some seating will return throughout the building. Study rooms and indoor events are also expected to return in the coming months.
