Join us as we come together to recognize World Sickle Cell Day and raise money to benefit Sickle Cell Foundation of MN! 2021 Slow Roll for Sickle Cell: A Bike Ride with Melanin in Motion & Slow Roll MPLS* This event is part of the 2021 Move for Sickle Cell Fundraising Challenge!This civic event will create awareness about sickle cell disease and how the community can support patients through advocacy, education, blood donation, bone marrow registration, and financial gifts. The bike ride will be approximately 15 miles with frequent stops and opportunities to learn about sickle cell disease. Average biking speed is 8 mph. A community lunch will be held at the end of the ride (food is available to purchase at Mill Valley Market). More information on Slow Roll MPLS at www.facebook.com/SlowRollTC/. Important NoteMasks and bike helmets are required to ride. COVID-19 protocols are observed. Riders will be asked to maintain a minimum of 6’ social distance from other riders. Bikes are available to rent from Nice Ride Minnesota.
