Seating To Return At Newark Penn, Other NJ Transit Stations

NEWARK, NJ — There will be seating available at several large NJ Transit bus and train stations, including Newark Penn, starting next week, officials announced Wednesday. According to NJ Transit: "Effective Wednesday, May 19, in line with Gov. Phil Murphy's recent announcement lifting indoor capacity limits on businesses, seating will be available at Secaucus, Hoboken, Newark Penn, Trenton, Metropark, Walter Rand Transportation Center, and AC Bus and Rail Terminals." "Face coverings and distancing will still be required and enforced," NJ Transit added. "We thank our customers for their cooperation and understanding, and will continue to broaden access to seating at more stations as soon as it's safe to do so, and in line with guidance from state health officials." Murphy recently announced that the state will be lifting capacity limits for restaurants, stores, offices and several other areas of life by May 19, part of a coordinated effort with New York and Connecticut.
