Austin Police Officer Crashes Into Car In Downtown Area

AUSTIN, TX — An Austin police officer is "OK" after crashing into another car in downtown Austin early Wednesday. The crash took place after 12:30 a.m. at the corner of 15th and Lavaca streets, authorities said. The officer was not hurt, but the patrol SUV had significant damage to the front end, officials said. The other car involved in the crash had significant damage to the driver's side of the car and that driver had minor injuries. Police did not address what may have caused the crash Wednesday.
