Description

Come build a friend for your houseplant or garden! Learn how to use polymer clay to make little snail and tentacle for your green spaces. We'll be outside for this workshop, which is taught by an experienced art teacher and lover of polymer clay. Materials provided in-store and by instructor. Ages 13+ (ages 10-12 welcome with adult supervision). The workshop comes with three random blocks of clay to make your creations. Sarah Nott is an artist and art educator who currently teaches at Portage Northern High School, where she's been loving her job for seven years. She was the ceramicist in residence at the Kalamazoo Art Institute for the 2018/19 year but has an equal love for all media! More information at sarahnott.weebly.com. When considering outdoor events, we weigh many factors, such as: the vaccination status of host(s), current county positivity rates, ability for proper social distancing, and attendees’ abilities to make decisions about their own health and wellbeing. To this end, the staff at this is a bookstore and Bookbug along with attendees should strive to minimize risk for themselves and others in the vicinity. If inclement weather occurs or there is a spike in community COVID-19 positivity rates on the planned date, you will receive a notice of postponement no later than 2 hours before the start of the event with a new date. Any fees paid will transfer to the new event date. No refunds will be given for weather or COVID postponements. In the unlikely circumstance where we are unable to reschedule, all fees will be refunded to the original method of payment.
