Hello, we are a fast growing sustainable landscape business in the South Bay/Peninsula. Our yard is in downtown Sunnyvale. We are looking to hire skilled gardeners for landscape maintenance, as well as skilled landscapers for landscape installations. Landscape Technician - Job Responsibilities: - Maintenance/fine gardening - Performing routine garden maintenance and care in the landscapes of our existing and growing client base. Also helping with landscape installation where needed. - We are not a mow and blow service. We provide fine gardening as well as full service maintenance. - Daily tasks may include: pruning, trimming, weeding, plant health, irrigation maintenance, fertilizing, raking, blowing, debris, a little bit of mowing/edging. - Installations - tasks include demo, planting, soil work, irrigation, mulch, hardscape, some carpentry, etc. - Use software on your phone to: clock in/out, see and access your jobs for the day, make notes, obtain all the information you need for each property. - Be willing to work in a positive, hardworking environment. - Driving a company vehicle and operating provided tools. Opportunities For Growth: - This position has potential to grow into a crew leader, we are a fast growing company. Required Work Experience: - At least 1 years full time experience in garden maintenance/landscape/nursery work, 2+ years preferred. Required Skills/Knowledge: - Plant identification and maintenance experience/skills necessary. - Irrigation experience preferred, alot learned on the job. - Have a passion for pruning and would be great if you know California native plants. - Can work under more experienced individuals, can work by themselves as needed, after being trained. - Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record required. - English speaking and typing communication. Education (not required but highly regarded): - Associates degree in Horticulture or a related field. Compensation: - Hourly, $24+/hr to start, raise up to $26+/hr after 3 months. Compensation more for more experience. Looking for full time workers. Average working hours are 8 am - 4 pm as an 8 hour day, which includes a 30 min. paid lunch break. Thanks for your consideration!
