Summary In celebration of Haitian Heritage Month, NHSSF will host an in-person Homebuyer Education Workshop tailored for Haitian residents only. The 8-Hours Homebuyer Education Workshop is a HUD certified workshop offered in a group session and will be held thoroughly in Creole. A certificate will be awarded upon completion. This class will help prepare residents to purchase a home. It covers all of the key topics when qualifying for a loan to purchase a property, such as: Budget and Credit Mortgage Application Process Fair Housing Working with a Realtor, Lender and other Real Estate Service Providers Appraisal and Inspection Process Homeowner’s Insurance Title Services Post-purchase Information (A HUD approved certificate is required for qualification of down payment and closing cost assistance programs.)
