8 m/o German Shepherd Mix Puppy Needs New Home

Dez is an affectionate 8 month old GSD mix puppy who needs a new home. I was told that his mom is GSD and his dad is Great Dane/Mastiff mix. He is a big boy and weighed in at 60lbs at the vet last month. Dez is unaltered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. He is housebroken and sleeps indoors, though not crate-trained. If you lay puppy pads out he will use them if he has an accident. He is good with other dogs and has grown up around young children (he has never jumped on or knocked over either of my sons, ages 2 and 9). He is very smart and could benefit from additional training. He will "wait" for his meals, and knows "sit", "under" (go between legs), "left" (sit on left side). His recall could use some work. He walks okay on a leash with a harness, but he is a puppy and is excitable. Overall he is a very good boy... this isn't a "need to rehome ASAP" situation, just trying to see if there might be a family better suited to his needs than ours right now (recent move after loss of job). Please tell me about your family and the home you would be able to provide for him. I would love to meet you at a park near our home if you are interested in meeting Dez. I am asking a rehoming fee of $300.
