Handsome Mixed Breed Looking for a New Home

Description
Tully, who is about 2.5 years old, a sweet, active, and goofy mixed breed, is looking for a new home in a suburban or rural area. I adopted Tully (70 lbs) in November 2019, and he has lived in San Francisco since then, but I believe he would be happier in a house with a big yard and without a lot of interaction with random people and dogs. There is a lot to love about Tully: he is charming, loves to run, can play with a chew toy like nobody’s business, and is an A+ snuggler on the couch or the bed. He loves attention, belly rubs, treats, digging, sniffing for gophers, and chewing a good stick. He often plays well with other dogs but has resource guarding issues and can get snappy so should be adopted into a home without other dogs or small children. Tully doesn’t bark much outside of the house but can get barky when he hears noises on the street; thus, a quiet or remote neighborhood would be ideal for him. He currently has a feline sister whom he likes to play with, much to the chagrin of the cat, so a dog-saavy cat or cat-free household would be best. Right now, Tully wears a muzzle whenever he goes out for walks, to the park, or to day care because he’s had issues with biting and with attempting to bite people, which is why I’m seeking a home with a large yard and without regular trips to a dog park. Tully has had significant training, but he can be unpredictable; he should be adopted by someone(s) with large dog/rescue experience. I’m heartbroken about the idea of giving him up but he really is not thriving in a city/crowded environment, and I want to give him his best possible life. I will keep him with me at home until we’ve found the right place for him. He’s up to date on shots, neutered, microchipped, etc.; I will provide additional details about Tully to potential adopters as the process moves forward. Please email if you have questions about Tully. If you might be interested in adopting him, please provide some information about yourself and situation (where you live, what kind of yard/outdoor situation you have, your experience with dogs, etc.) and I’ll be in touch.
