ASBURY PARK – About one-quarter of all people eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine that live in Asbury Park are fully vaccinated, according to data released by the state on Monday. The New Jersey Department of Health released town-level data on COVID-19 vaccinations on Monday. The state's COVID-19 dashboard has a breakdown by percentage of every person who has been partially or fully vaccinated in every municipality. Here's the data for Asbury Park: Asbury Park population with at least one dose: 34 percent of all ages, 45 percent of adults (18 and older), and 73 percent of seniors (65 and older). Asbury Park population fully vaccinated: 24 percent of all ages, 31 percent of adults, and 60 percent of seniors. State officials set a goal to fully vaccinate 70 percent of all adults, about 4.7 million people, by the end of June. As of Monday afternoon, about 3.6 million people in New Jersey have been fully vaccinated. All people 16 and older in New Jersey are eligible for vaccination, but sixteen- and 17-year-olds can only get the Pfizer two-dose vaccine.
