We are a talented metal fabrication company with an immediate opening for a full-time delivery driver who will also assist with packaging and shop work. Description/Duties: This is a full-time position that primarily focuses on making pickups and deliveries at various vendors and customers throughout the Seattle area. Job duties may also include performing various other general shop maintenance tasks as workload allows. These traits, skills, and knowledge are important to this position: • Must comply with all verbal and written instructions, including all safety policies and procedures. • Able to operate and negotiate traffic with company vehicles including a 20ft box truck and 22ft flatbed. • Ability to assess and properly secure loads. • Forklift training once hired. • Helps to be mechanically minded with the desire to work with and support metal products. • Adapt to changing plans. • Must be willing and able to clean and perform light maintenance of shop and equipment as well as use power and assembly tools from time to time. • Hours are from 5am to 3:30pm Monday – Thursday (3-day weekends!) with the occasional opportunity for OT on Fridays as workload dictates. Requirements/Qualifications/Physical Demands: You must be punctual, have reliable transportation, able to follow direction, and have attention to detail. A clean driving record and current WA state driver’s license is essential. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, communication skills, and a friendly demeanor when communicating with fellow employees, customers, and vendors - You will be a direct representative of our company and that is not to be taken lightly! You must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time, use hands for repetitive handling parts for processing, as well as occasionally lift 50 lbs. Of course, the ability to work inside and outside in the always-changing environmental conditions here in the Pacific North West is necessary.
