LIVERMORE, CA — An elderly man was airlifted to the hospital Sunday after he injured himself while walking along a Del Valle Regional Park trail.
The man was halfway down a hill when he hurt his leg.
Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department said it was called to the scene around 1:20 p.m., along with personnel from East Bay Regional Parks and a California Highway Patrol helicopter.
LPFD medics treated the man and brought him down the hill, where the helicopter was waiting. He was flown from the ridge to an ambulance, which brought him to the emergency room, according to CHP.
