Pub Crawl Host/Leader

Description
Like getting paid to party? Want to make new friends from all over the country and world? Denver Pub Crawl is looking for ridiculously fun, creative, and reliable hosts to lead crawls in Denver. Operating as almost a polar opposite to “American-style” crawls with hundreds of people in onesies, our crawls are “European-style,” which means we do things a bit differently. You, the Host, are almost solely responsible for the experience our crawlers have. You hold the group together, help them order drinks, and make sure everyone feels included and taken care of. The goal: crawlers ending the night having had one of the best times of their life, whether they came on their own or in a group. Our hosts know how to up the energy levels regardless of the circumstances. They keep a crowd engaged and entertained throughout the crawl. Equipped with a bank of drinking games and activities, every Denver Pub Crawl host has everything they need to provide an awesome experience. You’ll start off working with an existing DPC Hbost who you’ll learn from while on the crawl. Once ready, you’ll do a mock “test” crawl, to prove you know your stuff. Then, you’ll graduate to higher levels of qualification, and eventually, transition into leading entire crawls on your own. Finally, you’ll be serving as the on-the-ground liaison between our crawlers and the venue staff: the bartenders, servers, doormen, and general managers. Not only are you allowed, but encouraged to relax and include yourself in the crawl experience. While this includes having a drink or two yourself, it also means you must remain vigilant, responsible, and aware at all times while the crawl is active. Please note that Denver Pub Crawl operates with a two-strike policy. The first time an issue occurs, you’ll receive verbal and written notices. If another issue were to take place at any point in time in the future, your position as a host will be terminated without exception. Safety is the absolute number one priority for both you and the group. Pay Structure: Level 1: Support Host, $15/hour - Primary role is to support Lead or Pro Host - Must serve as Support Host for 2-5+ crawls before eligible to graduate to Level 2 - Level up is not guaranteed and will be contingent upon performance, professionalism, dependability, availability, and skill. Must be able to pass verbal and process tests. - Note that first crawl as a Support Host is unpaid, though new host will be paid a half crawl’s pay ($30) after completion of the second crawl as a Support Host and contract is signed. Level 2: Lead Host, $17/hour - Lead Hosts have proven their abilities as a Support Host, have passed the verbal and process “test,” and qualify to lead small crawls (5-15 crawlers) as a solo host or large crawls (15+ crawlers) with a Support Host. - Must serve as Lead Host for-5+ crawls before eligible to graduate to Level 3. Level 3: Pro Host, $20/hour - Pro Hosts have consistently proven themselves as reliable, available, and professional as both a Support and Lead Host. Pro Hosts qualify to host Private Parties (i.e. bachelor or bachelorette parties, corporate events) - Qualified to host 15-30 person crawls as a solo host Opportunities for additional bonuses included as well! Responsibilities and Duties (All Hosts): - Ensure each and every crawler has a ridiculously fun and safe night Serve as the main representative of Denver Pub Crawl and the sole liaison between crawlers and all bar and venue staff - Arrive early or on time for your event’s start time to ensure that all materials are setup at least 10 minutes before event start time - Must be available on weekends; currently, all events will occur between Friday at 6pm MST and Sunday at 5pm MST - All hosts must be available to work a minimum of four (4) crawls/events each month. All staffing will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis according to size of group and staff qualifications. Position sign ups will be sent out prior to the next month. - Adhere to Denver Pub Crawl’s ‘two-strike policy: host will receive verbal and written notice after any incident that puts anyone - including the host - on the crawl’s safety in jeopardy; if a second incident of any nature occurs at any point in the future, host’s position will be terminated immediately with zero exceptions If interested, please respond to this post and a link to an official application will be sent.
