CHICAGO — A federal warrant has been issued for a man suspected in the shooting death of 7-year-old Jaslyn Adams, the girl fatally shot in a McDonald's drive-thru on the city's West Side. Devontay Anderson, 21, one of the men accused of opening fire on the car, is believed to have fled the state. Jaslyn , who lived in Oak Park with her mother, and her 29-year-old father, Jontae Adams were waiting in the drive-thru lane of McDonalds, 3200 W. Roosevelt Road, on April 18. Surveillance video showed a 2017 Audi 88 pull up behind Adams' 2003 Infiniti. Two men got out of the Audi and began firing dozens of rounds into Adams' car, according to the newly unsealed federal charges. >>> 7-Year-Old Girl Killed Sitting In Car At McDonald's Drive-Thru Chicago police were able to identify one of the men on the video as Anderson, who is alleged to have opened fire with a Draco AK-47 pistol. The two men got back in the Audi and left the scene. When officers arrived, they found the Infiniti riddled with bullets. The gravely injured child was loaded into a patrol car and rushed to Stroger Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her father suffered a gunshot wound in the back. Anderson was identified by photos on his Facebook page, police said. On April 26, a warrant was issued for Anderson's arrest, charging him with first-degree murder. Police put a GPS tracker on Anderson placing him in Miami, Fla. The next day, police said the tracker still showed Anderson as active. Anderson was also matched with the photo on his state ID, the charges said. >>> Suspect In 7-Year-Old's Shooting Death Charged With Murder Two other suspects are in custody, Marion Lewis, 18, and 21-year-old Demond Goudy. Lewis was taken into custody on the Eisenhower Expressway, when police said he tried to carjack a family after his own vehicle crashed into a ditch. Lewis was shot several times by police. Both men are being held without bail at Cook County Jail. The Cook County State's Attorney's Office will extradite Anderson when he is apprehended, the federal charges said.
