Job Description Company Description: NDC Communications, LLC is a commercial construction company whose primary clientele exist in the cellular-wireless communications construction industry. Our construction division serves traditional markets as well including civil, commercial facilities and residential homes, utilizing a staff of highly skilled heavy equipment operators, masons/foundation layers, framers, carpenters, engineers and Master Electricians. Construction Laborer Job Description: NDC Communications is looking for a Construction Laborer to join our team! You will be responsible for loading and unloading frequently heavy materials, and the ability to perform job specific instruction provided by Foreman and other supervisors. Your duties will involve physically demanding construction general labor such as excavating, trenching, and shoring, while working around heavy equipment. Individuals must be safety-minded and able to work well in varying weather environments. Must be reliable, a hard worker, and motivated. Some out-of-town travel and overtime may be required. Responsibilities: • Adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies • Assist with placing waterlines and conduit • Shovel and rake in trenches and around foundations • Load and unload construction materials • Operate some construction equipment, Front end Loader, small excavator, and vibratory compactor • Physical agility • Ability to quickly learn safety aspects of working construction sites • Ability to take direction and perform construction laboring activities • Ability to work unsupervised occasionally • Maintain clean and organize job site • Other duties as assigned Physical Requirements • Ability to perform essential functions of the position • Position requires proficiency to work at a steady pace on uneven and loose surfaces outside • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally, 5% of time • Ability to lift 50lbs, 50% of the time • Stooping and bending 60 – 70% of the time Qualifications: • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record and own transportation • General knowledge of construction related equipment is a plus but not necessary • Skill to complete work safely in close proximity to workers and heavy equipment • Possess a strong sense of personal responsibility • Ability to learn and develop skills to later perform higher level tasks Benefits: • HEALTH INSURANCE • Simple IRA with company match • Paid time off • Paid holidays • Vacation PTO time • Company provides transportation to & from job sites • Daily per diem for overnight travel Job Type: Full-time
